The ACIA has continued to work with the American Institute of Architects California Council, California Hospital Association, Association of General Contractors, Structural Engineers Association of California, Consulting Engineers and Land Surveyors of California, and others in opposition of AB 2966.

The representatives of these groups have been working tirelessly with the members and staffers of the Senate Committee on Health this past week in the Capital and will continue to do so up to the hearing date of June 18. ACIA wishes to thank the above mentioned groups for their collaborative efforts.

ACIA is a non-profit organization established in 1954 that for over 50 years has continued to be the most recognized body of construction inspectors by all California public and private agencies. In the past and in the present, efforts to duplicate the success of ACIA have been attempted however it is the consistent ability of ACIA to to provide quality continuing education as well as effectively collaborate with other professional organizations in the industry that make ACIA the inspector's choice.

ACIA is currently represented on boards and advisory groups including the Office of Statewide Health Planning & Development, Division of the State Architect, Dept. of Corrections & Rehabilitation and the Governors Office of Emergency Services.
