Beginning November 13th, 2008, the OES State Operations Center will be fully activated to participate in this year's Golden Guardian Exercise, the nation’s largest state sponsored emergency exercise. Golden Guardian 2008 focuses on a simulated, catastrophic 7.8 magnitude earthquake along the southern portion of the San Andreas Fault and tests California’s capability to respond and recover during a major catastrophic earthquake. As one of OES' professional partnering organizations ACIA is preparing to participate in this exercise which will include contacting all SAP Evaluators listed on ACIA's data base during November 13, 2008. The ACIA office will be closed on this date in order to participate in the Golden Guardian Exercise. 

An online refresher course for certified SAP Evaluators is available. If your SAP Evaluator card has expired or is about to expire, you can continue your registration in the program by taking this refresher training at www.oes.ca.gov > Recovery > Safety Assessment Program > SAP Evaluator Online Refresher Training or contact ACIA at 626.797.2292.
