Rob Ryan of Twining Labs will be presenting on Phased Array Ultrasonic Testing, an excited new technology.

 

Phased Array (PA) ultrasonics is an advanced method of ultrasonic testing that has applications in industrial nondestructive testing (and medicine). When applied to steel the PA image shows a slice that may reveal defects hidden inside a structure or weld. Essentially, the 3 traditional UT transducer angles are combined into a single device.
