This meeting was rescheduled from June 03 to July 01 due to a scheduling conflict. Rob Ryan of Twining Labs will be presenting on Phased Array Ultrasonic Testing, an excited new technology. Phased Array (PA) ultrasonics is an advanced method of ultrasonic testing that has applications in industrial nondestructive testing (and medicine). When applied to steel the PA image shows a slice that may reveal defects hidden inside a structure or weld. Essentially, the 3 traditional UT transducer angles are combined into a single device. Please be sure to join us for this promising presentation. Admission includes dinner and is $20 for first-time attendees, and $30 for returning meeting attendees. An ACIA Membership is not required to attend our chapter meetings. We hope to see you there! |
