Request for Qualifications for DSA Structural Plan Review Retainer (RFQ 22-130718)

You are invited to review and respond to this Request for Qualifications (RFQ) being offered by the Department of General Services (DGS), Division of the State Architect (DSA). DSA is requesting submissions from professional structural engineering firms (Firms) for a retainer contract that will be used on an as-needed basis for structural plan reviews of various projects identified during the term of the contract for the DSA Regional Offices located in Oakland, Sacramento, Los Angeles, and San Diego.

Services may include review of plans and specifications including back check, review of construction change documents, addendums, deferred approvals, alternate designs, revisions, and over-the-counter review for California K–12 public schools and community colleges.

All work performed from an awarded retainer contract shall comply with all applicable statutes and regulations, DSA policy, DSA procedure, and DSA guidelines as they relate to structural plan review. All work must be performed under the supervision of, and approved by, the Firm's principal in charge, licensed in the State of California in accordance with the California Business and Professions Code, Division 3.

The RFQ package may also be obtained by sending a request to the Staff Services Manager I listed below. Please include Ad Number, contact person's name, firm name, mailing address and phone number.
